Ana Moffit, Rectora
Hello Fourth Day Community. My name is Ana Moffit and I attended Via de Cristo #17 in 2004,
and I sat at the table of Joy. A little bit about myself. I am the mother of four now adult children. I am a former paralegal mostly working on social services cases and I continue to work in the legal community. I enjoy doing arts and crafts with my family and love to have paint parties at my home for Spring/Easter,
Fall, and Christmas, which is a great way to build relationships with family and friends.
Attending VDC as a pilgrim was most definitely a spiritual renewal for me at the perfect time
that I needed it. My experience was so blissful that I did not hesitate to serve at the very next
Weekend #18. Serving for the first time filled my heart with so much joy that I had an even
deeper spiritual experience. I witnessed all the behind-the-scenes activity including the love that is put into holding a weekend to make it a special experience for everyone.
I have been serving off-an-on ever since and each weekend holds its own specialness and meeting of new people who share the love of the Lord. Being involved in the Fourth Day Community has blessed me with many special friendships throughout Colorado and Nebraska. I never saw myself as a spiritual leader. I am usually a humble and quiet person. A silent observer. I like to volunteer, but I appreciate the leadership of others putting me to work. What is special about VDC is that this ministry is lay led. An ordinary lay person like me can serve the Lord with my faithfulness, guided by the Fruit of the Holy Spirit. Galatians 5:22-23 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control.
As I serve as the Rectora for VDC #48, this will mark my 20th anniversary in participating in
Via de Cristo. This upcoming weekend will be held at Cathedral Ridge Camp in Woodland Park, Colorado. It is a beautiful retreat center in the Colorado mountains. I would encourage you to consider serving on team or to sponsor a pilgrim. What a wonderful gift to be a part of the Via de Cristo community.
God loves you and so do I!
