Greetings 4th day friends, and friends I have not met “yet”. Hi, I’m Phil Bamesberger. My wife, Janice and I have a farming operation in Southwest Nebraska where we raise wheat, corn, have cattle, a hog confinement, and yes three camels (more about that to come). My life was changed in 2015 at CVDC #38 when I was sponsored by Tom Albertson and sat at the table of Restoration. On Weekend #45, I served as Rector at Camp Comeca near Cozad Nebraska. I am now anxious to serve you as Lay Director. What I would like to see accomplished with this position reminds me of my verse as a Rector, Isaiah 40:31. “But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” Brothers and sisters in Christ, help me renew the strength in Via de Christo that once was. Let the opportunity through serving or an opportunity for a future pilgrim to experience the Holy Spirit working in our hearts and minds to renew our strength to further the kingdom of God. Please feel free to reach out to me with thoughts, concerns, or suggestions at pbamesberger@gmail.com. God loves you and so do I!

...and that all this assembly may know that the Lord saves not with sword and spear. For the battle is the Lord's, and he will give you into our hand.” 1 Samuel 17:47
I love this part of David's answer to the Giant! David knows that the battle is already won, the God that spoke everything into existence just has to speak and Goliath will be delivered to him. It is the same today, the battle against Satan has already been won, Christ beat Satan at the cross and beat death at the empty tomb. Our task today is to look to Him, to give our trials and troubles over to Jesus. We need to stop fighting and surrender to our Savior. Satan and death holds no power over us just as Goliath held no power over David. Give your fears to God and allow Him to fight the battle. Spend time with our Savior today, begin with this amazing Story in 1 Samuel the 17th Chapter.
Father grant in us the spirit of knowing that the battle is already won, that You and You alone are the Master of everything and our lives were saved at the cross and the empty tomb. Make us to trust that Satan and this world has no power over us, that Your Son has covered us completely. We praise You for loving us and ask that You grant us the spirit to love as You love. In Jesus Name. AMEN! Dennis Lawson
