A Message from the Rectora
DeColores! I am truly honored and blessed to have been called to serve as the Rectora for Colorado VDC Weekend #50! My journey with VDC began in 2003 when I attended Inky VDC #47 (Indiana/Kentucky). Since then, I’ve had the privilege of serving our Lord and Savior through VDC weekends at least 16 times—though I’ve long since lost count!
My own weekend as a pilgrim remains one of the most memorable and transformative experiences of my life. Like many, I arrived wondering, What have I gotten myself into? But my sponsor recognized qualities in me that I had never seen in myself—spiritual gifts meant to be shared with my community. That weekend revealed to me that I could be a leader—not just in my church, but in my home, my workplace, and beyond.
I am also blessed to share this journey with my husband, Dennis Lawson, Colorado VDC’s Spiritual Director. Together, we have ten children and more than 20 grandchildren spread across Indiana, Minnesota, Colorado and Wisconsin. Professionally, I own an event management company and have been in the industry since 1980, a career that has taken me across the globe planning and executing meetings and events.
Colorado VDC Weekend #50 is all about returning to the basics! We are assembling a dedicated Core Team to welcome new pilgrims—whether they are emerging Christian leaders or seasoned leaders seeking a fresh renewal. I am excited for the journey ahead, the planning, and most importantly, the opportunity to create an EXTRA special weekend for our pilgrims.

Pilgrim Arrival: Thursday, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Luggage @ Lupine Lodge (Luggage directed by Chas & Angels)
Sponsor Communion: Thursday, 7:15 pm—meet in Weekend Prayer Chapel.
Agape Set Up: Saturday, 2:30 p.m. – meet in Dining Hall.
AGAPE Serenade: Saturday, 5:00 pm—meet in Dining Hall.
Clausura: Sunday, 3:00 pm— Lupine Lodge Conference Center.
