Topic: Another slice of Pie! Getting prepared for the holidays. Cut yourself a piece of pie and a hot cup of coffee and join us for a time of fellowship!
De Colores 4th Day!!!... A small group is the smallest unit in which community is formed. Jesus had a small group of intimate friends that he depended on in difficult times (Mark 14:33). Within a Christian friendship/accountability group, we can nurture faith by talking about our behavior in the other environments and encourage Christian action. All small groups need to be part of a larger community. Call a friend or two and start a reunion group. Make a friend. Share with that friend by being a friend. Bring that friend and yourself into a deeper relationship with God.
1. How can I get involved in a Reunion Group?
Check with your Sponsor, the Rector or Team from the weekend and ask them if they have a Reunion Group you could attend.
2. Can I begin a Reunion Group?
Absolutely! Consider those who may have attended a weekend with you. A good number for a Reunion Group is 3-6 people who are committed to meet in person or virtually, weekly or bimonthly.
3. Does a Reunion Group have to consist of only 4th Day people?
A Reunion Group does not have to be made up of only 4th Day people. You can also include Christians in your immediate circle who wish to grow in thier relationship with Jesus, develop a deeper study habit, and move into action in their homes, churches, and communities.
4. Are there any tools available to me to use in my Reunion Group?
How you arrange your time is up to your group. Most successful groups use the "Green Card" (click on the Reunion Group Card below) or choose to use the Bible, a devotional or study material to discuss during their time together. It can be helpful to maintain a routine or place and time and keep the meeting time no more than 1 1/2 hours. As with all the Via de Cristo activities, start with prayer and end with prayer. Leave time to share prayer concerns with one another.
